Moisture Condensation

One of the most common your motorcycle helmet visor fogging up is moisture condensation. Helmet visor fogging occurs due to moisture condensation inside the helmet. When warm and moist air comes into contact with the cooler surface of the helmet, it condenses and forms very tiny droplets! and obstruct the clear vision

Temperature and Humidity Factors

The outside temperature and humidity play a moisture condensation and fog inside the motorcycle helmet. When the outside temperature is low and the temperature inside the helmet is high comparatively, condensation and Foggs occur. Also, the high humidity contributes the moisture buildup.

Poor Ventilation

This is the most common problem! My motorcycle helmet fogging up because I use an action camera strap on my motorcycle helmet! and it blocks the front ventilation hence the inside air gets stuck and builds up moisture due to high temperature than the outside temperature. During rides, we or the rider release warm, moist air from the mouth and nose, and the moisture buildup happens when the air gets trapped inside. So make sure you are not blocking any ventilation of your motorcycle helmet! if you want to stop the helmet visor from fogging it up.

Ambient Moisture and Rain

External moisture, such as rain or high humidity in the environment, can worsen helmet fogging.

Riding in Wet Conditions

Rainfall and Splashing from other vehicles can also lead to moisture inside the motorcycle helmet! hence fog builds up. This is why I hate the rainy season :), my motorcycle helmet doesn’t have any prevention system so, it really irritates me while riding! I have to open the helmet visor frequently to clear the fog inside the helmet! this is obviously very risky, while opening up your visor so many bad things can happen! so, I decided to take care of this problem and I found the best way to stop the motorcycle helmet visor from fogging up.

Importance Of Clear Vision While Riding A Motorcycle

Safety

Clear vision is always crucial for all riders not only limited to motorcycle riders. the clear vision allows the rider to see road conditions and other things! and enables them to react quickly based on the situation!

Awareness

The more you see the more your brain can sense of the surroundings. so it directly helps you and enhances the situation awareness.

Judging Distance:

With clear vision, you can accurately judge the distance during rides and because of this, you will be able to react quickly when to accelerate and when to brake! you will have no problem during cornering with a clear-vision helmet visor.

Reading Road Signs

You will be able to see the road and the road sign more clearly! so, you will be able to follow traffic rules, navigate the intersections and stay in the correct lane ๐Ÿ™‚

Identifying Obstacles

we know this is a common problem while riding a motorcycle! In many cases, we found tinny objects, stones, and other objects! if you don’t have a clear visor, these obstacles and hazards can lead to serious accidents and injuries! so, don’t delay! make your helmet visor fogs free.

Nighttime Riding

I personally faced this problem! this is very annoying! personally, I drive my motorcycle more carefully at night time, because you have to rely on your motorcycle headlight most of the time and if your helmet visor gets fogged up, then you will not be able to see the road and other cars clearly! you will see a blurry version of a car passing by and the road! so, it’s very dangerous to ride at night time with an unclear motorcycle helmet visor. if you ride at night more frequently than others, I recommend you get your helmet visor fogs free asap.

Confidence and Comfort
